How I Review Products
Firsthand observations
My hands-on observations explain what I found while using a product. When I measure something myself or offer fit guidance, I identify it as my measurement or recommendation. A recommendation reflects my judgment and the buyer’s needs; it is not a guarantee of fit.
Manufacturer and listing specifications
Manufacturer- and listing-stated specifications are identified separately from my firsthand findings. For example, a stated weight capacity does not mean I tested the product at that load. Unresolved specifications are omitted or clearly qualified.
Products provided for testing
When a brand provides a product for testing, that relationship is disclosed in the relevant review or video.
